No Reef. No Beach. It’s time to educate and initiate change
In celebration of World Oceans Day, and in conjunction with the launch of OZONE (Outrigger’s ZONE), we enjoyed a day of honouring our most important asset – our beautiful island environment.
“OZONE’S mission is to save and protect coral reef systems in tropical destinations by generating awareness while enhancing our guest and host experience through education and authentic interaction”.
We’re proud to say this fantastic initiative was inspired by our former owner Mr Geoffrey Shaw, who remains Chairman of MES Fiji – the Mamanuca Environment Society. Along with varied and extensive conservation strategies including turtle conservation, guests can also become involved in looking after our ‘rainforests of the ocean’ through coral planting at the resort.
