Resort-Chef-at-Castaway-Island-Fiji-300x225Unlike anywhere else in Fiji, Castaway Island’s cuisine is designed to take you on a culinary journey to experience traditional and modern Fijian flavours, showcasing local produce, locally made foods and the artisan techniques of Fijian cooking. 

The majority of our produce is sourced locally from organic farmers with some of the best tasting tropical fruits, unique vegetables, meats and wild ocean seafood. Our tender, organic beef is flown in weekly from Cape Grim in Tasmania, Australia, with seafood arriving daily from local fishermen using only hand lines and fresh bait. 

We offer a wide choice of dining options across the island with three breakfast outlets, four lunch outlets and three dinner options. Each outlet showcases different dining experiences that are all included in our Meal Plan. Try our a la carte breakfast menus and the wok stir fry station at lunch. And do not miss out on experiencing our inspirational Fijian Asian fusion menu named “1808”, being the first year the Chinese arrived in Fiji. The 1808 herbal menu embraces Fijian & Chinese artisan cooking techniques and the age old philosophy of eating and enjoying food as a source of life enrichment for good health. 

Castaway Island is also one of the few allergy aware resorts in the Asia Pacific, with most of our menus being gluten, dairy and nut free. We also have a range of gluten free pasta, pizza, pancakes, soy and brown rice milk available on request. Kids’ options are available in all outlets, with themed buffet and a la carte choices for dinner.
