All fun & games at the yearly Sports Day…

Castaway’s yearly Sports Day was held November 29th – the resort’s way of showing appreciation to our fantastic family of staff for all the hard work they have put in during the year.

Kick off time was 2.30pm with General Manager, Mr Steven Andrews, thanking all staff wholeheartedly for their amazing commitment throughout the year. Living and working on a little island resort in the middle of the South Pacific ocean can become all encompassing and ‘time out’ is definitely a requirement for staff fulfilment and happiness at work.

We were lucky enough to have our Guest of Honour, Ms Lisa Tojo – Director, Interactive Commerce, Global Distribution, Outrigger Resorts – on island and at the ready to present the trophies to the winning teams. A BIG Vinaka Lisa!

The overall Outrigger Castaway Sports Day 2014 winner was Team: Diving/Boating/Boutique/Grounds. They were presented with their shield by Lisa Tojo at the closing function held at the staff quarters.

This Sports Day tradition is loved by staff and guests alike. After a hard day of fun we’re back to work and in training talking strategy for next year’s big challenge.
